What if
The reverie of the stolen moment
Could be invoked
What if
The stealthily taken glances
The shy smile
were bequeathed a chance
Within the long and silently blissful moment
Culminating to a well-calculated
Knee-weakening stare
An opportunity to observe with leisure
And casually bestow caresses
Savoring the richness and pausing for appreciation
Then you would be my fortunate seeker
And I, the willing prime target of your attentions
Dancing under the key of your entrancing melody
As you play your harpsichord
Igniting a fire like dry kindling in a roaring blaze
Simply, we will defy all the sanity
Refuse to be cindered
Beneath the weight of our trepidation
Luxuriate in that present moment
An enchanting period as we accomplish our magical feat.
But then, the train halts
We dislodge reluctantly
Hankering for an elongation
our introspection dwelling on the
